South Africa announce appointment of new men’s team head coach

The South African Cricket team has announced their new head coach. CSA has named former West Indies fast bowler, Otis Gibson as the new Proteas leader.

CSA builds on record-breaking season

South Africa had a successful season, winning the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe and beating Australia at home. They also won the ODI series against India.

CSA CEO Thabang Moroe said: “I would like to thank Linda Zondi for all his efforts over the past two years as head coach of our national team.”

New head coach named to lead Proteas

South Africa have announced the appointment of Ottis Gibson as their new head coach, replacing Marque Villas-Boas in the role.

Gibson was previously head coach of the West Indies and has also worked as an assistant coach for England and South Africa.

He takes over from Villas-Boas, who was sacked last month after just two years in charge.
